About

Gerald Witt

I write immersive, deeply reported journalism. Those stories are built on a foundation as a staff writer for newsrooms across the Southeast, with work that has been honored for public service, investigation, features and breaking news. I’m currently at work on a master’s degree in narrative nonfiction at the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication.

My wife and I like to travel, eat well, and work in the garden. Our cat likes to jump on my keyboard while I write. Yep, that’s a Braves ball cap. I live in Knoxville, but can get anywhere fast.
